I give everyone on this blog pseudonyms, because, let's face it, they didn't ask me to write shit about them.  
 
Or maybe I do it to protect the guilty.  
 
Whatever.

  • Barbra = A loyal and dear friend.  I call her Barbra because, like Barbra Streisand, she is feisty, can act and has a killer voice
  • Bill = My dear friend and ex-colleague.  I gave him a boring name because he's a very private guy
  • Dogette = Bill's dog, and Puppy Dog's girlfriend
  • Dolly = A friend who is funny and sweet.  I called her Dolly because, like in the show Hello Dolly, everyone is always happy to see her and she lights up a room
  • Ellen = My childhood BFF
  • Fluffy Bear = My husband, my partner, my rock
  • Green Sweater Lady = A dog massage therapist
  • Hairless Apes = The way Puppy Dog sees humans
  • Jean = A good friend who used to be our next door neighbor.  Wife of Tony.  She is very calming to be around 
  • June = A dear friend, who is sweet and kind and cooks amazing ribs
  • Kathy 1 = Will's wife, and mother to Tara, Tasha and Theo
  • Kathy 2 = OK, so I fucked up and gave two people the name Kathy.  Oops.  This one is a friend we met many years ago in CA, and she is a very, very smart cookie
  • Martin = A friend of Fluffy Bear's.  Intelligent and over-educated, he and Fluffy Bear descend into deep geekdom whenever they get together.  I just stay away
  • Nancy Drew = An ex-colleague, now friend, and Scarlett O'Hara's mom
  • Phoebe = A fascinating woman I met at a networking thingy, who goes to South America every year to do good works
  • Puppy Dog = Our furkid No. 1
  • Puppy Girl = Our furkid No. 2
  • She's So Lovely = My therapist
  • Scarlett O'Hara = Nancy Drew's daughter, who is battling an illness, valiantly
  • Skinny Stranger = Puppy Dog's trainer
  • Tara = Puppy Dog's friend, an older chocolate lab, Tasha and Theo's sister
  • Tasha = Puppy Girl's BFF, another chocolate lab, Theo and Tara's sister
  • Theo = Puppy Dog's BFF, another chocolate lab, Tara and Tasha's brother 
  • Ted = Bill's boyfriend, and my Lexulous nemesis.  I called him Ted because I had a childish moment, thinking - ha ha! - Bill and Ted!
  • Tony = A good friend who used to be our next door neighbor.  Husband to Jean. He and Fluffy Bear support each other with their gadget porn obsessions
  • Will = Kathy's husband, Tara, Tasha and Theo's dad
